QUESTION OF THE DAY:

What are the names of the rivers in the world that flow south to north?

ANSWER:

We don't know the names of all the world's rivers that flow north, but the major ones are the Ob, Yenisey, and Lena in Asia; the Nile in Africa; the Rhine in Europe; the Amazon in South America; and the Mackenzie and Yukon in Canada. Some of the north-flowing U.S. rivers are the St. Johns in Florida, the Willamette in Oregon, the Fox river in Wisconsin and the Monongahela, originating in West Virginia and winding north to Pennsylvania.
